Job Description:

As a member of the Web development team at Metter Interactive, you will be building a career in Web design and development with an emphasis on search engine marketing. You must demonstrate an ability to produce professional Web sites and graphics through prior work and have knowledge of, or a willingness to learn search engine optimization.

Responsibilities include carrying out the design and development of Web site and graphic design projects as assigned, maintaining a thorough understanding of, and integrating current Web design trends, Web development technologies, languages, tools, and standards into the Web development team's projects. This person will work closely with the Senior Web Developer and under the direction of Account Managers to meet client needs by designing online and offline media, performing Web development duties, and providing project updates and proofs, ultimately producing finished products that meet client and creative criteria.

Day-to-Day Web Design & Development Responsibilities Include:

• Creating designs and layouts of creative materials including Web pages, digital and print advertisements, brochures and other marketing collateral as assigned
• Programming and coding of Web pages
• Carrying out Web updates including database updates as needed
• Preparing photographs and client creative material for projects
• Working with Account Managers and creative team to develop concepts and direction for projects
• Keeping projects on track within schedules and deadlines
• Interacting with client contacts to gather and/or present project specific information as needed
• Implementing on-page search engine optimization (SEO) changes
• Performing Web site audits, reviews, and research to make recommendations to clients
• Carrying out various reporting and administrative activities as assigned

Required Skills:

• Broad knowledge of current Web technologies and design tools
• Ability to gather content and produce professional, accurate page layouts
• Proficient in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign
• Proficient in CSS and HTML
• Knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, .PHP, .ASP, WordPress / blogging platforms, and database setup is a plus
• Knowledge of search engine marketing including SEO and PPC management is preferred
• Copy writing ability is a plus
• Interest in account management and/or sales is a plus

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Advertising or related field
• Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a related field or the ability to demonstrate aptitude through a portfolio or work samples
